Parents or guardians of rising first graders are invited to apply for admission to the Tuscaloosa Magnet Elementary School for the 2012-2013 school year. Interested parents, please read the brochure and fill out the attached application form. Applications can be printed and mailed/brought to TMSE or sent electronically to jburkhal@tusc.k12.al.us. Deadline for application is January 31, 2011.
The Tuscaloosa City Schools PreK Application window will begin Monday, January 30, 2012 and end on Friday, March 2, 2012. Applications will be available at all TCS elementary schools (except Tuscaloosa Magnet Elementary) during regular office hours. In addition to the application, parents/guardians must provide copy of the child’s birth certificate, social security card, blue immunization card, and 3 proofs of residency (including lease/mortgage, and 2 current utility bills). Westlawn is no longer a School Improvement school! If your child is zoned for Westlawn but is attending another school under the School Choice option, please view the information about discontinuation of district transportation services on the Federal Programs site.
