Welcome from the Board of Education. The board is composed of eight members elected by districts. The chairman of the board is elected by a citywide vote. The Board of Education meets on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Office in the Regions Room. Announcements regarding the meetings are published in the local newspaper. The board also meets in monthly open work sessions. They encourage public involvement and support of the schools. Suggestions and input always are welcomed.
