STUDENT GRIEVANCES
It is the belief of the Board that students have both the right and responsibility to express school-related concerns and grievances to the faculty and the administration. Therefore, students shall be assured the opportunity for an orderly presentation and review of grievances.
To be granted discussion and consideration of a grievance, any student or group of students should request an appointment with the principal which will not interfere with regularly scheduled classes or school-related activities. The faculty and administration will make an honest effort to resolve student grievances at the most immediate level of supervision.
In the event the principal is unable to resolve a student grievance, the student may then follow the system ’s grievance procedure as stated in the “Policy Manual” of the Tuscaloosa City Schools.
