Pay Rate
Substitutes will be paid at an hourly rate with the minimum hours being four (4) hours/day and the maximum being eight (8) hours/day. Substitutes must clock in/out at each site.

*Extended certified substitutes must either work 20 consecutive days or have suthorization by the Executive Directory of Personnel due to extenuating circumstances. Support positions do not qualify for extended certifed substitute's pay unless authorized by the Executive Director of Personnel. |

**Former Tuscaloosa City certified employee who retired or taught a minimum of five years for the School System and left in good standing. Executive Director of Personnel will make the final determination of status. |

You are paid once a month. Your first check will be received on the last working day of the next month after your first assignments.
Checks will be mailed at the end of the month or we offer direct deposit.
A
separate form will be available at the orientation for those who are interested
in direct deposit.
