Requirements for Substitute Teaching Positions

You must have a high school diploma to be a support substitute (aides, clerical, CNP, custodial) and be willing to be fingerprinted.  A processing fee of $49 will apply.  Driver’s license, SS card, TB skin test (within 90 days), copy of your diploma, GED or transcript will be required.

If you are interested in substitute teaching positions, you must have at least (2) two years of college, be willing to apply for a substitute license and all of the above requirements for substitute support positions.  A $30 application fee will be required.  If you hold a valid Alabama teaching certificate, you will not have to apply for a substitute license.

We will be glad to print copies of your documents.  You must have separate money orders to pay the fees that apply to your status.
