Report Cards
Elementary school students receive report cards for each nine-week period. Academic and conduct grades are recorded. Opportunities are provided to parents to have conferences with teachers during the school year. Progress reports are sent home halfway through the reporting period.
During the 2007-08 school year, University Place will pilot a new report format for kindergarten students.
Secondary school students have a six-week grading period. Numerical and letter grades are assigned in each subject area. A term is composed of three grading periods, and one credit per term is earned for each successfully completed course. In middle and high schools, parents are encouraged to communicate with teachers throughout the school year and request conferences as needed concerning a student's academic progress. |
