  • Tuscaloosa Through Time logo

Students in all Tuscaloosa City Schools will participate in research, study and hands-on learning activities related to the history of the City of Tuscaloosa.  Thanks to the generosity of and collaboration with the Tuscaloosa Bicentennial Commission, students will engage in learning about a specific era of city history in a variety of areas.  Each school has designed unique learning opportunities for students.  Annual student events such as Tuscaloosa Can and the Christmas Parade will include a Bicentennial theme.  All students are invited to submit original works of art and/or writing to be considered for 200, a book celebrating the bicentennial through artistic expression.  The culminating activity will be Tuscaloosa Through Time.  This four-day history expo will feature displays and student presentations from every public, private and parochial schools in Tuscaloosa.
