  • To 8th Grade Parents:
    Tomorrow, we will have Awards Day beginning at 8:30 in the gym.  Parking will be available in the back of the school and in the NHS baseball/softball parking lots.  Following Awards Day, we will have the 8th Grade Celebration beginning at 10:00.  Students will participate in various water activities and games.  They will be served pizza and other items.   Students may wear athletic type shorts over swimsuits. Students should wear a shirt and shorts over swimsuits.  White t-shirts will not be allowed.  Please plan to bring a change of clothes and a towel.
    There will be an Honor's Breakfast on Thursday beginning at 8:15 in the gym.  This will be for students.  Please arrive on time to school as we have a special guest speaker.

    May 23rd (Half Day, Last Day for Students):

    • 8th grade Honors Day Breakfast @ 8:15 AM
    • 7th/6th grade Honors Day Breakfast@ 9:15 AM
    • Dismissal @ 12 PM = HAPPY SUMMER!

  • Summer Meals Program

    The Tuscaloosa City Schools will offer its annual Summer Food Service Program where all children 18 years and under eat free at 33 locations!

    The destruction of special education records for students who last received services five years ago will take place this summer.

    For the first time since 2013, Central High School has no label attached. It's a moniker CHS teachers, students and staff have been working hard to shed.
