This spring break, TCS students in grades K-8 will have an opportunity to win one of four Kindle Fire HDs or one of four $50 gift cards to Barnes & Noble just for reading in your TCS myOn account! First and second prizes will be awarded for an elementary and middle school student in two categories: • Most Books Completely Read • Most Reading Comprehension Growth
The contest is simple: read on myOn; win prizes.
In order to make the "growth" category fair, myOn will launch a lexile test in "projects" on March 8th. Please do not shut down your school to test. However, please do let your students know that to qualify for the "growth" category prize, they have to take that test at the start of the contest and at the end. Students who do not take the test will still qualify for the "books read" prizes.
Remember: students must access myOn via Clever. There is a link to Clever on the Homepage of the Tuscaloosa City Schools website AND on the Homepage of the Rock Quarry website.
Contest ends March 31 at 3 pm.
