Learn basic signs and concepts to help you communicate with the deaf community in beginning sign language classes taught by Lynn Short. ASL Interpreter, EIPA certified with over 15 years experience. WMS has several spring strings concerts coming up. Advanced students will perform at Stillman College Wynn Center April 29, 2:30 pm and Central High School theatre May 17, 5:30 pm. Congratulations to the participants in the 6th grade rocket challenge who competed at UA. WMS placed 2nd with a height of 2034 feet. We were the only TCS middle school to place in the competition. You can see pictures in the "Look At Us!" slideshow on the bottom right corner of the webpage. Go Falcons!
Our students are striving every day to become college and career ready. Our beautiful school is home to approximately 400 students and is located near the heart of Tuscaloosa. After leaving Westlawn Middle School our students move on to Central High School to continue their path to future success. Along with a strong academic program we enjoy success in athletics, elective courses and extracurricular activities.
