Institute Day 2018 will feature a rotation of sessions delivered in a mini-conference format. Employees are asked to arrive at Northridge High School, located at 2901 Northridge Road, for an 8:15 a.m. start time on August 2, 2018 and follow the schedule below based on your feeder zone. There will be two shuttle buses at Northridge Middle, one shuttle bus at Verner Elementary and one shuttle bus at Northridge High starting at 7 a.m. They will be available again immediately after institute. Following institute, Tuscaloosa Police will direct you to a route that will allow for efficient flow of traffic based on where you park. Breakfast refreshments will be available starting at 7:30 a.m. (Central Office employees will be provided their Institute Schedule by email.)
Institute Day is the Tuscaloosa City Schools' pep rally for teachers on their first day back from the summer. The event features morning refreshments, snacks, live music from TCS bands, cheerleaders from all of our high schools. TCS requests everyone arrive early because traffic will likely be heavy along Northridge Road.
