  • Students can now log into PowerSchool-SIS from ClassLink to view grade, schedule, and attendance information. 

    1. Click the PowerSchool Student Login app.
    2. Click Student Sign In on the bottom right.
    3. If prompted, enter your TCS Google email address (i.e.,, district password, and click Yes.

  • Grade Category Map Image
    PowerSchool reports that the  recent grade configurations issue in Schoology is resolved. 
    The next step is for each teacher to check those configurations using this linked slide deck.
    The Issue
    • All aspects of this issue originated with PowerSchool, not TCS.

    • On November 28, PowerSchool ran an update on that had an unanticipated impact on grade Category mappings in Schoology for all Alabama districts. 

    • On December 7, PowerSchool sent communication that the issue had been resolved. 

    • Here is a summary of PowerSchool’s communication about the issue:

      • Cause: PS made an internal integration ID change 

      • Consequence: caused grade mapping not to display in Schoology’s PowerSchool app

      • Assurances: the mapping is still stored in the database and syncs are continuing to run as expected

      • Resolution: terms and category fields are showing in Schoology as expected

     Next Steps
    • PowerSchool assures us that all settings have been restored and that everything is working as it should. 

    • The next step is for all teachers to check the grade settings. 

    • Work through this linked slide deck to do that. 

    • Schools are encouraged to have teachers work together on this and to reach out to their Technology Specialist for support. 

    • Note: next week schools will receive guidance for reviewing/setting grade settings for the spring semester.

    The Technology Support portal now includes guidance documents about a variety of topics including equipment and digital learning resources. To view these documents, log into Technology Support and click Solutions. Most of the collection can also be viewed in this Google folder

    The mission of the TCS Technology Department is to support students, employees, and families by providing and maintaining exceptional technology systems for a professional learning environment in alignment with the district’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.

    TCS Technology is Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) compliant and uses a variety of tools to protect our students.
