    2017 Parent Visitation Day!

Northridge High School is celebrating National Principals Month during the month of October.

The TCS Strategic Plan calls for dynamic school leaders to create a learning culture where all students are successful. During this National Principals Month, we salute principal Mr. Kyle Ferguson, who works tirelessly with teachers to support positive outcomes for all students.

"Mr. Ferguson is easy to talk to and always available!" according to Shamia Hardy-Furr, a senior at Northridge. Tristan Rollins, who is also a senior, believes that "Mr. Ferguson is geniunely a kind person and he tells you what you need to hear!" Mr. Andrew Maxey, Director of Middle School Education for the Tuscaloosa City Schools, tweets, "Thank you @Fergdaddy1 for showing that strong leadership is built on investing time in people. @NHS_theRidge "!

Join TCS as we honor the hard work and dedication of our principals all month long. Visit Let's Talk! to send a special message to your child's principal.

Mr. Ferguson is always supporting our students:

    Mr. Ferguson,

Thank you for your time and very kind words about Rebecca at the board meeting last evening.  Your guidance and support to her are greatly appreciated.

    Have a great day!

Spirit Night for the Northridge Reporter, September 7, 2017 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm!

Eclipse Day at Northridge!Students observing the Eclipse

Today, Northridge students observed the solar eclipse. Many flooded to the courtyard at 1:20 pm (August 21st) with permission slips and solar eclipse viewing materials in hand. Many students had glasses, but several used solar viewing shoeboxes and cereal boxes. Those students that did not have permission slips were still able to enjoy the event via live streaming provided in classrooms, the library or the NHS auditorium. No one missed out!  It was a great educational event!

Ms. Edgel's classes experimented with their homemade rockets today! Multiple students showed off their engineering skills and physics prowess! All in all a very successful engineering time at Northridge!

Don't forget to register your child through INFOSNAP! (This only has to be completed once each new school year)

Tuscaloosa City Schools has an online Student Registration process known as InfoSnap. This process must be completed in order to make sure your child is registered for the upcoming school year. There are two registration links available, one for returning students and one for new students. To access these links, look on our District’s website under Attendance, then go to Registration. Please note, new students have additional requirements for completing the registration process. Before registering your child you must have your child’s personal access code. You may obtain this code from the NHS Registrar, Mrs. Calhoun, by calling 759-3590. It is important that you complete this process to prevent your child from inadvertently being withdrawn from the school’s data base.

Rebecca Han Scores a Perfect 36 on the National ACT Exam!

Rebecca Han, currently a junior at Northridge High School, has done what seems the impossible. She has scored a perfect score of 36 on the National ACT exam. The ACT is a college entrance exam that tests students on mathematics, English, reading, and science reasoning, and has an optional writing section. The highest composite score a student can earn is 36.

Rebecca is one of the less than one-tenth of 1 percent. She is perfect. Rebecca is also an outstanding student and very well rounded in her high school career.   Her accolades include:
