Mr. Erskine Simmons was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama by his mother, Flora B. Simmons. He graduated from Central High School in 1988.

He furthered his education at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama and completed his associate’s degree in business at the University of Phoenix.

Mr. Simmons has served on the Alabama Association School Board Delegate Assembly as a delegate and an alternate. He has served as the secretary of Board for eight years.

He is self-employed and co-owner of Simmons Legacy Group, LLC.

He has been married to his wife, Tammy Sanford Simmons, for the past 26 years. They have two children; Kristian and Erskine Kristoff. The Simmons family attend Hightower Church of God where he serves and participates in several ministries.
