Degrees and Certifications:
Rachel Goggins is a seventh-year educator with the Tuscaloosa City Schools, having taught kindergarten and first grade at Woodland Forrest Elementary and currently serving as a literacy coach at Oakdale Elementary. She holds a bachelors degree in early childhood special education from the University of Alabama, which she earned in 2013. In 2017, Rachel was profiled as a teacher of the month in Druid City Living; she is currently in the process of becoming National Board certified in Literacy: Early & Middle Childhood. Rachel is the chaplain of Alpha Delta Kappa’s Zeta Chapter and serves in the children’s and youth ministries at Calvary Baptist Church. When she isn’t teaching, Rachel spends her time traveling to concerts, cheering for the San Antonio Spurs, and listening to Beyonce.
