Degrees and Certifications:

Samantha Shuler

Samantha Shuler graduated with a B.S in Wildlife Management and Conservation from Humboldt State University in 2009. Although she did not know it at the time, this degree is what lead her to pursue a career in education. She received her M.S in Elementary Education in 2015 from Troy University. Upon graduation, she had the opportunity to work for Dothan City Schools as an ESL teacher assistance. The experience gained, better prepared her for the ESL Specialist position for Tuscaloosa City Schools. As an ESL Specialist she has had the opportunity to launch a successful district wide Bilingual Family Literacy Program, and presented about the program at the 2018 WIDA Annual Conference and The 2018 National Youth at Risk Conference. Samantha looks forward to continuing to learn and grow as an educator for Tuscaloosa City Schools.
