    • Bookin' It 5K

      Registration is now open for the Bookin It for TCS Libraries 5k! Last years event helped raise money to start a brand new library for Success Prep Academy, and we hope to continue to be able to positively impact libraries across our district. The event will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at The Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools. Open this announcement to find more information and the 2020 registration form.

    • Our 2019 State Report Card

      Congratulations to Skyland Elementary for being one of four schools in TCS that has shown double digit improvements on their state report card over the past 3 years. These improvements could not be made without the partnership between parents, students, teachers, staff, and administration all working together to help our students grow to their full potential. Thank you to all who helped make this incredible difference.

    • TCS 2019-2020 Pre-K Registration

      Registration is open from January 15, 2020-March 5, 2020 at 12 p.m. A lottery will take place on March 9, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. at the Central Office.

      Please apply at: https://alprek.asapconnected.com/Login   When completing the online registration, please only select the school for which you are zoned.

      Children must be 4 years old on or before September 2 and live within the Tuscaloosa City School zone to be eligible.

    • TCS Kindergarten Early Registration
      Parents should report to their home school on the designated dates to register and after those dates, they should call the school for convenient visiting times.
       
      Tuscaloosa City Schools Kindergarten Early Registration will be held on March 12-13th. Please bring the following:

      -Proof of residence (2 utility bills and lease agreement)
      -Proof of Birth
      -Proof of Immunization
      -State ID
      -Social Security Card (optional)

      *Please bring your child with you for kindergarten readiness testing.
       
      Students must be 5 years old on or before September 2, 2020.

    • Inside Tuscaloosa City Schools

      TCS teachers were honored with the Nick's Kids Teacher Excellence Award. Eight Tuscaloosa City School employees were presented with Apple Awards. The Worlds of Work Expo gives 8th graders a look at dozens of possible careers. Northridge High sends four students to college to compete in athletics and continue their educations.     • The Tuscaloosa City Schools is now accepting applications for its specialty programs, including the Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools (Elementary & Middle), The Alberta School of Performing Arts, Central High School International Baccalaureate Programme and the Tuscaloosa Fine Arts Academy at Paul W.
