Meet the Ambassadors
Amber Emerson has been teaching middle school science since 2015 and currently teaches at Westlawn Middle School. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education- General Science, both from the University of Alabama. She is in the process of attating certification in Instructional Leadership from UWA. She became a National Board Certified teacher in 2019 in Early Adolesence Science, and since has been part of the TCS NBCT leadership team. She is a member of both the Alabama Science Teaching Association and the National Science Teachers Association. Though she is originally from Tuscumbia, Al. she and her husband call Tuscaloosa home after spending 15 years here together. She is a member of Hope City Church were she helps in youth programs. She is passionate about helping new teachers become excellent in the classroom. She enjoys listening to Maroon 5, working with animals, volunteering within the community, and traveling.
