Jamesia Lewis-Armistead

Jamesia Lewis-Armistead has been working in Tuscaloosa City Schools since 2009 where she teaches science at Central High School. She is currently teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology as well as The Ready to Work course. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Arts in Teaching Biology from the University of West Alabama. She is also currently a National Board candidate for Adolescence and Young Adults in Science. In addition to these accolades, she is a certified COMP (Classroom Organization and Management Program) trainer for TCS and a member of the Tuscaloosa City School’s Future Instructional Leader Academy (FILA). Mrs. Lewis-Armistead has received several awards throughout her tenure with Tuscaloosa City Schools such as CHS Teacher of the Year as well as the TCS Innovative Technology Award. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a member of Christian Community Church. She enjoys spending time with her family and taking pictures alongside her husband.
