Patricia Ford joined the Tuscaloosa City Schools Family in 1997 as a Kindergarten teacher at Rock Quarry Elementary School. She strives to provide the best individual education for every student, to create an engaging classroom learning environment which promotes fun, growth, and a sense of family. Her classroom also encourages students to believe in themselves and to do their personal best.

Mrs. Ford is recognized as a passionate, student-centered educator continually seeking to improve learning. As well as being driven to help students overcome barriers that impact their learning. She sets the foundation for life skills, such as treating others with respect, kindeness, working successfully with others, and fostering the critical role that social and emotional learning plays in promoting student success. Her students know they are important, respected, and loved.

Throughout her amazing years at Rock Quarry Elementary, Mrs. Ford has served on various school improvement teams, leadership teams, district support teams, team leader for her grade level, mentor for new teachers, and a cooperating teacher for future educators. She has also received numerous awards throughout her tenure with Tuscaloosa City Schools such as First Year Teacher of the Year, Alabama Teacher of the Year (school-wide) five times, and Jacksonville Teacher of the Year.

I love working in the TCS because: of all the amazing opportunities that are offered for students, staff as well as the families we serve. I love how TCS is proactive and forward in their thinking in setting high expecations for our students as well as the staff. We have the opportunity to profoundlyimpact the lives of children and the chance to change the future.
