The goal of Tuscaloosa City Schools' Federal Programs Department is to close the achievement gap by supplementing educational programs and removing barriers that exist for our students. The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides guidance for allocation and use of federal funds to local school districts. Tuscaloosa City Schools is responsible for the following federal programs:

  • School Improvement and Alabama Continuous Improvement Plans (ACIP)
