Meet the Principal of Rock Quarry Elementary School
Welcome to “The Rock”!
What an honor to serve as the principal of Rock Quarry Elementary School. It’s hard to believe that I have had the privilege of serving students and our community for 15 years! Time flies…. and so many wonderful things have happened over the years.
Our faculty and staff serve approximately 550 students in grades Pre-K through grade 5. We work together to create a safe and positive environment where all children flourish in academic and social settings.
In recent years our school has been acknowledged at the local, state, and national level.
In 2018, our school was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School. This award reflects the tremendous amount of work our teachers and students dedicate to academic success. It’s certainly a huge celebration for our school and our community. I was so proud of our teachers, and for our teachers to achieve this recognition.
During the 2020-21 school year our school was recognized by the Alabama State Legislature as one of the top 25 elementary schools in the state. This recognition was due to continued and ongoing academic success as noted in our school data.
Also, during the 2020-21 school year, our school received honorable mention as a School of Character. We will continue to strive toward achieving this noted award throughout the upcoming school year. We have established a focus on prioritizing opportunities to build character in our daily walk at Rock Quarry. When you visit our campus, be sure to look for the new touchstone as a reminder of our focus on building and growing our character each day. We are super thankful for our adopt-a-school partner; Harrison Construction Company, and the TCTA welding students for all of their support in our character development initiative.
At Rock Quarry…..we strive to “ROCK” as a
Responsible, Outstanding, Compassionate and Kind community!
