Stampede Nation,
I am Eric Hines, your principal. I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our children. I believe that through education, students gain important skills that are imperative for a successful and prosperous life. It is our responsibility to make sure that learning is taking place in a safe, orderly, and productive environment. Immediately, you will notice the careful consideration given to improving the physical environment of our school.
I am an educator by nature. I have a burning desire that longs to see every child educated, regardless of race, color, origin, or nationality. The profession of education is one of the highest vocations that one can walk in because of our direct affect on the success or failure of a child. We will work collaboratively to build meaningful relationships with the local board of education, alumni, community leaders, and other stakeholders. We will be honest and open in building these relationships, and will listen to ideas and concerns and take criticism if warranted. Building relationships is critical to creating a positive school culture.
At Eastwood, students, parents, teachers, support staff, and stakeholders collectively are part of a unified family. We will work diligently to ensure the safety and welfare of all children while providing them with a challenging and rewarding educational experience. Parents, we need your help! Involvement in your child’s education will help with their overall success. Continue to visit our website and social media for updates regarding school events. I’d also like to encourage you to join our PTSA and support our school in any way possible.
We embrace the challenges of the future while continuing to cherish and celebrate the traditions of the past. Our remarkable staff, involved parents, committed students, and awesome stakeholders come together to make Eastwood Middle School a wonderful and unique place to grow, learn, and launch.
I would love the opportunity to meet you, feel free to stop by to introduce yourself. Building lasting partnerships are important to me and pivotal to your child’s success.
I look forward to working with you and your student as we work toward excellence.
