Small Class Sizes
At University Place Middle School, we understand the importance of building relationships with our students. Our classes are more than just students and teachers. It’s a family! Our small class sizes, which average 20 students or less per class, give us a chance to really get to know each student and individualize instruction to meet needs.
We are intentional about striving to bridge any gaps between the grade levels. Through our school-wide book study of the novel Wonder by R.J. Palacio last semester, students in all grade levels were able to come together and #ChooseKind.
We have an excellent Fine Arts program. Over 80% of our students are involved in one or more fine arts courses. Many of our students have received awards in strings, choral music, band and art.
Our parent involvement has made tremendous gains this school year. Participation at events and programs has increased from previous years. In addition, parents are involved in our field trips and professional development. Parents report satisfaction in our school.
