Meet the Principal of Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools - Elementary
Dear Tuscaloosa Magnet Elementary Families:
It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I write this letter welcoming you to the 2020/21 academic year at our school. I am honored to serve my TMSE family as their Principal and look forward to making this a great school year. I am confident that we will continue to provide our students with a nurturing and truly challenging school experience.
I have been an active member of the Tuscaloosa City Schools for the past 18 years. I have spent almost 13 years as a teacher, before I moved into my Assistant Principal position at both Rock Quarry Elementary School & Verner Elementary School. I feel very fortunate to be expanding my role within this district, and I am proud to be part of the Magnet family. My desire to become an administrator came from a strong passion to make a positive impact on an entire school community as well as to help build the capacity of teachers and students as we move forward.
As a parent and an educator, I know that elementary school years are important and critical times for our students. What happens during these years will have a lasting impression on their growth and development. Together we are engaged in doing, in laughter and in the A-Ha’s of learning. I believe that my background as a teacher and my ongoing role as a parent enables me to understand and meet the needs of both teachers and parents, but ultimately allows me to serve the students.
I am looking forward to meeting each one of you as the school year progresses. You will find that my door is always open and I am always here to support you in any possible way.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
