Apple Awards

Four employees from Central High School were recognized at the Tuscaloosa City Schools' 7th annual Apple Awards in December.  Jessica Waid Chadwick, LaSonya Wright, Linda Horn, and John Hamilton were among 83 system wide in an event designed to celebrate excellence in education. 

Central High School employees selected the individuals that were to represent the school at the system level of competition. Each nominee was awarded a medallion and join those who have come before them to carry the symbol of excellence from the Tuscaloosa City Schools. It is the highest honor bestowed on an employee by TCS.

Horn was selected as the TCS Support Employee of the Year; Wright was named the school's Jacksonville State University Teacher Hall of Fame nominee;  Hamilton received the Technology Innovation Award and Chadwick was honored in the Alabama Teacher of the Year recognition program.

"It's an honor to be recognized by colleagues for your efforts at anytime, but it is even more meaningful when they recognize you for the work being done with our students", said Hamilton of the award.
