Special Olympics set for April 28
More than 200 athletes are set to participate in the Special Olympics on Friday, April 28, at Northridge High School.
The opening ceremony is set to begin between 9:30 and 10 a.m. on the football field.
There will be nearly 40 track events with 10 wheelchair events, nine walking events, five throwing events, three jumping events nine running and two relays, and the Pentathlon.
Athletes from 12 Tuscaloosa City Schools and five schools from outside the district are set to participate.
