RQES Students Donate to United Way

Students from Rock Quarry Elementary School are making a difference in Tuscaloosa as partUnited Way of the United Way’s annual Giving Campaign. During this school year, students raised over $500.00 to support the work of the charitable organization through our "Fifties Day for United Way"  fundraiser.

In a special district wide celebration event November 10, Student Council Officers from RQES presented United Way CEO Jackie Wuska with a check.

United Way of West Alabama strengthens education, income stability and health in our nine-county footprint by developing resources and strategic partnerships. Donations to United Way of West Alabama stay local and go directly to agencies and initiatives improving our community.

Students and teachers say they are proud of their contribution to the organization which supports 26 partner agencies in West Alabama.

The students’ contribution is part of the community-wide campaign to raise $4 million. Click more information about the United Way and the work it does in West Alabama.
