Students from Rock Quarry Elementary practiced their public speaking skills and demonstrated their commitment to public service at the annual United Way campaign event. Students across the system raised $16,307.38, almost $1,000 more than last year’s sum, setting a brand new record for TCS students.
Rock Quarry students did their part by raising $700 through “50s Day for United Way.” Students dressed the decade, danced to music from the 1950s in P.E. and enjoyed coke floats for a snack.
Additionally, TCS administration, faculty and staff had their largest campaign since 2010! United Way of West Alabama has established a campaign goal of $4.2 million for 2019.
