Apple Award Winners

Courtney Moore, a seventh grade science teacher at Westlawn Middle School School will represent the Tuscaloosa City Schools in the state level of  competition in the state Technology Innovation Award.

Westlawn Middle School employees selected the individuals who were to represent the school at the system level of competition. Each nominee was awarded a medallion and join those who have come before them to carry the symbol of excellence from the Tuscaloosa City Schools. It is the highest honor bestowed on an employee by TCS.

 Kendrick Marks was selected as the TCS Support Employee of the Year; Ashley Lamar was named the school's Jacksonville State University Teacher Hall of Fame nominee; Courtney Moore  received the Technology Innovation Award and Ashley Shambley  was honored in the Alabama Teacher of the Year recognition program.

Dr. Tiffany Davis said of the nominees "These are dedicated and hard working individuals who are great assets to our school. We are very proud of them and the work they do every day."
