The UA Early College - LEAP (Leaders Exploring Academic Possibilities) is a summer program for rising freshmen (current 8th graders) hosted by UA Early College at The University of Alabama. LEAP consists of a five-day academic, leadership, and service exploration.  Rising freshmen will participate in team-building exercises, The University of Alabama college activities, and Tuscaloosa community service opportunities. The week-long program will be held June 7-11, 2021 and July 12-16, 2021.  Students selected their specific camps within their applications.

The UAEC LEAP Program application process was competitive, and students throughout the Tuscaloosa area applied. The above-mentioned students’ applications and reference information demonstrated that they possess the qualities and attributes necessary to represent their school and the Tuscaloosa community in this program.
