WMS Student Fund Drive for United Way

Students from Westlawn Middle School practiced their public speaking skills and demonstrated their commitment to public service at the annual United Way campaign event. Students across the system raised $16,307.38, almost $1,000 more than last year's sum, setting a brand new record for TCS students.

Westlawn Middle School students did their part by raising $1,480.32 through snack sales, student vs faculty volleyball game, cell phones at lunch and slides/hoodie day. "We are proud of our students for their generous giving and are already planning ways to top ourselves with next year's campaign", Dr. Davis said.

Additionally, TCS administration, faculty and staff had their largest campaign since 2010! United Way of West Alabama has established a campaign goal of $4.2 million for 2019.
