We have implemented The Stampede Way at Arcadia Elementary this year. We are putting a focus on positive behavior and character education. We have had the opportunity to send two cohorts of teachers to Hope Academy in conjunction with Samford University to bring back positive behavior strategies that can be used with our students. Every student will be assigned to a herd and begin building positive relationships with students in every grade level as well as forming bonds with other teachers. There is a time set aside in the schedule every morning to focus on character development that we call Stampede time. To best serve our students we must prepare them socially, emotionally, as well as academically.
