  • We do not yet have a decision for the missed weather day this week

     

    TCS has not yet made a decision on the use of a weather makeup day for the Feb. 11 closure. Students will not have classes on Feb. 17 and 18 as planned. (Tuesday remains a professional development day for staff.) Once a decision has been made regarding a weather makeup day, this will be communicated with families.

  • TCS 2019-2020 Pre-K Registration

    Registration is open from January 15, 2020-March 5, 2020 at 12 p.m. A lottery will take place on March 9, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. at the Central Office.

    Please apply at: https://alprek.asapconnected.com/Login   When completing the online registration, please only select the school for which you are zoned.

    Children must be 4 years old on or before September 2 and live within the Tuscaloosa City School zone to be eligible.

  • TCS Kindergarten Early Registration
    Parents should report to their home school on the designated dates to register and after those dates, they should call the school for convenient visiting times.
     
    Tuscaloosa City Schools Kindergarten Early Registration will be held on March 12-13th. Please bring the following:

    -Proof of residence (2 utility bills and lease agreement)
    -Proof of Birth
    -Proof of Immunization
    -State ID
    -Social Security Card (optional)

    *Please bring your child with you for kindergarten readiness testing.
     
    Students must be 5 years old on or before September 2, 2020.

  • Inside Tuscaloosa City Schools

    TCS teachers were honored with the Nick's Kids Teacher Excellence Award. Eight Tuscaloosa City School employees were presented with Apple Awards. The Worlds of Work Expo gives 8th graders a look at dozens of possible careers. Northridge High sends four students to college to compete in athletics and continue their educations.   • TCS commencement ceremonies will take place on May 9, 2020, at Coleman Coliseum on the University of Alabama campus.
